Ingredients
- 300 g smoked fatty bacon
- 250 g wide pasta (Lebbencs or Fleckerl)
- 1 large onion
- 800 g potatoes
- 3 ripe tomatoes
- 1 tbsp paprika powder (sweet)
- paprika peppers (spicy, for seasoning)
- Salt
- Pepper

Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a pot until crisp. Peel and cut the potatoes into sticks. Dice the onion and add both to the pot. Pour water over them until the potatoes are fully covered, add a pinch of salt, and simmer until the potatoes are almost cooked (about 20 minutes).

Add the pasta and continue cooking. Add more water if needed. Boil the tomatoes, peel, halve, seed, and dice them; stir in with paprika 2–3 minutes before the end. Season with salt, pepper, and spicy paprika. Serve hot.
