Homemade Red Berry Compote

Ingredients
- 250 g blueberries
- 250 g raspberries
- 250 g red currants
- 300 g Strawberries
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 350 ml red currant juice
- 1 untreated orange (juice and zest)
- 100 ml dry red wine
- 60 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 cinnamon stick

Measure all ingredients and prepare them.

Wash the berries, rinse, and drain. Strip the stems from the currants.

Clean the strawberries.

Quarter the strawberries and add them with the remaining fruit to a bowl.

Whisk the cornstarch with 3 tbsp of currant juice.

Heat the remaining juice with orange juice, wine, and sugar in a pot.

Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them along with the cinnamon stick and orange zest to the liquid.
