Oriental Stuffed Dates

A sweet temptation from the East that always delights!
Ingredients
- 30 whole peeled almonds
- 20 g butter
- 25 g peeled sesame seeds
- cinnamon powder
- 20 g sugar
- 1 tsp finely grated unprocessed orange zest
- 18 fresh dates
- 30 g pistachio kernels
- 15 g pistachio kernels
- 15 g coconut flakes
- 20 g powdered sugar
Instructions

Roast almonds and walnuts in 10 g butter until golden brown. Roast sesame seeds in a dry pan until golden.

Process the roasted nuts, sesame, cinnamon, sugar, remaining butter, and orange zest into a fine paste using a food processor. Pit and slit the dates.

Fill each date with the nut paste and press back together. Finely chop pistachios in a blender. Toss one third of the stuffed dates in pistachios, another third in coconut flakes, and the last third half in pistachios, half in coconut flakes. Sprinkle powdered sugar on a plate and arrange the oriental stuffed dates on top.
