Ingredients

  • 4 herring fillets (marinated in oil)
  • 1 small onion
  • Lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp Crème fraîche
  • pepper (ground)

Instructions

    Drain the herring fillets and cut into bite‑sized pieces. Peel and finely dice the onion. Mix with the herring, season with lemon juice and pepper, and divide onto small glasses.

    Whisk the sour cream with the crème fraîche, season with salt and pepper. Spoon over the herring and serve with pumpernickel stars if desired.
