Hacksteaks on Bean Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 stale roll
- 800 g string beans
- Salt
- butter (for the pan)
- pepper (ground)
- 5 tomatoes
- 150 g Feta
- 150 g cottage cheese
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- 1 onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- vegetable oil
- 600 g mixed ground meat
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp sharp mustard
Instructions

Soak the roll in lukewarm water.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection).

Wash, trim and blanch the beans in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes. Drain, shock with cold water, pat dry, place in a buttered casserole dish, lightly salt and pepper, then bake for 5–10 minutes.

Wash the tomatoes, remove stems and slice. Arrange over the beans, season lightly, and bake for 15 minutes.

Dice the feta, mix with cottage cheese and turmeric.

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic; sauté in a hot pan with 1 Tbsp oil until translucent, then remove from heat and cool.

Combine ground meat with squeezed roll crumbs, egg, mustard, and the onion mixture; season with salt and pepper. Form small balls and brown them in a hot pan with 2 Tbsp oil until golden on all sides. Spread the cheese mix over the vegetables, top with meatballs, and bake at 200 °C for 10–15 minutes to gratinate.

Remove from oven and serve immediately.
