Ingredients

  • 20 dried tomatoes (in oil)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.25 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 200 g black olives (pitted)
  • 2 anchovy fillets
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 handful basil
  • toast bread

Instructions

    Drain the tomatoes well, catching the oil; pat dry with paper towel and slice into thin strips. Peel and roughly chop the garlic. Blend the tomatoes with garlic, chili flakes, oregano in a blender to a thick paste, adding a teaspoon of the drained oil if desired. Mix in poppy seeds and pine nuts.

    For the black spread, finely chop anchovies, rinse capers under running cold water, peel garlic. Combine olives, anchovies, garlic, capers, olive oil, and basil in a blender and puree into a paste; add more oil if needed.

    Cut the toast bread into spooky shapes and toast them. Serve with the two spreads.
