Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 600 g ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 400 g Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1.

For the meatballs, peel and finely chop or press 2 cloves of garlic. Mix the ground beef with the garlic and egg, then season generously with salt and pepper. Form small balls, heat a little oil in a pan, and brown the meatballs all around for 4-5 minutes until crisp.

  2. 2.

For the tzatziki, peel, halve lengthwise, deseed, and grate the cucumber roughly. Salt it and let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out water, then drain well. Peel and finely chop the remaining garlic. Combine the yogurt with the garlic and cucumber, season with salt and lemon juice. Serve the tzatziki alongside the meatballs.
