- 1 tsp butter
- 800 g mixed ground meat
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 4 small tomatoes
- 4 slices cheese (e.g., Gouda, Edamer)
- 2 tbsp stuffed olives
- Olive oil (for the dish)

Peel and finely dice the onion; sauté in hot butter until translucent, then remove from heat and let cool. Mix the ground meat with onion, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper into a cohesive mixture; season to taste. With damp hands shape 4 patties, place them in an oiled baking dish, press slightly flat, and bake in a preheated oven at 220 °C (fan‑forced) on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.

While the patties cook, wash and slice the tomatoes. Halve the cheese slices and cut the olives into thin wedges. Arrange the tomato slices and cheese over the patties and continue baking for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts. Serve topped with olive wedges; pairs well with baguette.
