Ingredients

  • 600 g firm potatoes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 beef steaks (e.g., top sirloin, about 300 g each)
  • Pepper
  • vegetable oil (for grilling)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with fan and conventional heat.

    Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into bite‑sized pieces. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil and salt. Spread on parchment paper on a baking sheet and roast for 35–40 minutes until crisp.

    Heat the grill and wash and pat dry the steaks. Season with salt and pepper and brush the grill grates with vegetable oil. Grill the steaks for about 7–9 minutes to desired doneness. Slice the meat into strips and serve with the potatoes.
