Ingredients
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 cm ginger
- 1 tsp five-spice mix
- 0.5 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 600 g Chicken breast fillet
- chives for garnish

Peel and finely chop the garlic and ginger. Mix with the five-spice powder, chili, turmeric, mirin, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Rinse the chicken, pat dry, and cut into cubes. Thread onto 12 wooden or bamboo skewers and arrange side by side on a plate. Brush with the marinate and cover in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Drain excess liquid and grill over high heat for ~5 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning frequently. Sprinkle with chives before serving.
