Grilled Lobsters

A grill delight of a special kind: Grilled Lobsters from Spoonsparrow are ideal for guests and family.

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 2 lobsters
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 mild red pepperoncini
  • 1 sprig thyme
  • 2 limes

Instructions

    Place a large pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil. Salt the water and add the lobsters. Let them bubble briefly, then remove and let cool. Using a sharp knife, split the lobsters lengthwise.

    Peel the garlic, press it into the oil, stir in a pinch of salt and pepper, and brush the lobsters with this mixture. Grill on high heat (or sear in a pan) for about 5 minutes.

    Meanwhile, wash the pepperoncini, halve them, remove seeds, and dice finely. Rinse the thyme, shake dry, and pluck the leaves. Slice the limes into thin wedges.

    Serve the grilled lobsters sprinkled with pepperoncini and thyme, garnished with lime slices.
