Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 untreated orange (juice and grated zest)
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 200 g passered tomatoes (ready-made product)
  • 60 g liquid honey
  • salt (pepper from the mill)
  • Tabasco
  • 8 chicken thighs

Instructions

    Peel the onion, finely dice it and sauté in hot oil in a pot until translucent. Add orange juice and zest, lemon juice, passered tomatoes and honey, and cook for about 15 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and a few dashes of Tabasco, taste and let cool.

    Wash the chicken thighs, pat dry and marinate for 2–3 hours.

    Take the meat from the marinade, place on an oiled grill rack and grill each side for about 15 minutes (depending on size) over high heat.

    Serve with grilled tomato slices if desired.
