Ingredients

  • 175 g Puy lentils
  • Salt
  • 3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 lemon
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp brown mustard seeds
  • 2 red chilies
  • 2 Garlic cloves

    Wash the lentils thoroughly and bring about 600 ml of water to a boil in a pot. Cook covered over medium heat for about 40 minutes until the lentils are very soft; add more water if needed. Add salt and coriander, then remove from heat.

    Peel the lemon (remove all white rind), slice thinly, add to the lentils and stir in.
