Grandma's Bean Salad

This classic always comes in well: Grandma's bean salad from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 300 g green beans
  • 300 g yellow wax beans
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp walnut oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

    Wash, trim and cook the beans in plenty of salted boiling water for about 8-10 minutes until al dente, then drain.

    Immediately shock with ice water, let them drain fully.

    In a bowl whisk together vinegar, salt, pepper and oils; taste and stir in parsley and walnuts.

    Add the sauce to the beans and mix well. Let the salad rest for about 20 minutes before serving.
