Garlic Pork Roast with Honey

Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg pork roast (with bone)
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 8 tbsp liquid honey
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 250 ml meat broth

Instructions

    Season the meat with salt and pepper. Warm the honey, squeeze in the garlic, and brush about half of the garlic-honey mixture all over the pork.

    Place the pork in a roasting pan and roast in a preheated oven at 200°C (middle rack) for approximately 1½ hours; after 45 minutes add two-thirds of the broth, pour some garlic-honey over the roast, and baste repeatedly.

    Stir the remaining garlic-honey into the pan juices, bring to a quick boil, deglaze with the rest of the broth, and season with salt and pepper.

    Slice the roast for serving and spoon the sauce over it.
