Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • butter (for the tin)
  • 4 small marshmallows
  • 1 tsp melted dark couverture chocolate
  • flour (for the tin)
  • 140 g softened butter
  • 70 g sugar
  • food coloring (optional)
  • 140 g cream cheese
  • 150 g powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) with both top and bottom heat.

  2. 2.

Cream the butter with the sugar, then gradually beat in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and alternately fold it into the batter with the milk. Finally stir in the lemon juice.

  3. 3.

Fill four greased and floured tins with the batter and bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

  4. 4.

Remove from oven, let cool, then unmold onto a plate and allow to cool completely.

  5. 5.

For the frosting, cream the butter with sugar, then fold in the cream cheese. Gradually add powdered sugar until the mixture is spreadable, then color it with food coloring if desired.

  6. 6.

Spoon the frosting into a piping bag fitted with a zigzag tip and pipe small dots around each tartlet. Cut the marshmallows in half, paint pupils with melted chocolate, and place them on top as eyes. Serve arranged on a plate.
