Fruitful Pasta Salad
A fruity pasta salad with ham, cheese, peas and oranges: This salad from Spoonsparrow is a classic recipe that isn’t a sin.
Ingredients
- 150 g whole wheat horn-shaped pasta
- Salt
- 75 g peas (frozen)
- 100 g cooked ham
- 75 g Edamer cheese (30% fat in the rind)
- 125 g yogurt (0.3% fat)
- 2 tbsp light salad cream
- 2 small oranges
- Salt
- Pepper
- 0.5 lemon
Instructions

Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, cut ham and cheese into roughly 5 mm pieces and mix them in a bowl.

Add yogurt and salad cream.

Two minutes before the pasta is done, add peas to the pot and continue cooking.

Drain the pasta mixture in a colander, rinse briefly and let it drain well.

Peel oranges with a knife so that all white skin is removed.

Separate orange segments from the membranes, cut them small, add to ham and cheese and mix well. Squeeze lemon juice.

Add drained pasta and peas to the bowl and mix thoroughly. Season with salt, pepper and 2 tsp lemon juice. Let the fruity pasta salad sit for 15 minutes. Adjust seasoning before serving.
