Ingredients
- 1.5 kg mixed fruit (e.g., banana, strawberries, grapes, pear, pineapple, apple)
- 150 g dark chocolate couverture
- 45 g chopped almonds (3 tbsp)
Instructions
-
1.
Prepare the fruit: peel bananas, wash berries and grapes and let them drain. Peel pears and apples, quarter them and core them. Peel pineapple and cut off the stem. Leave fruits whole or cut into bite-sized pieces depending on size.
-
2.
Coarsely chop the chocolate couverture and place it in a bowl.
-
3.
Heat water to a few centimeters high in a pot (the pot’s diameter should be slightly smaller than that of the metal bowl) and hang the bowl over the pot.
-
4.
Melt the chocolate under stirring over low heat.
-
5.
Roast almonds in a non-stick pan without fat until golden brown. Transfer them to a plate and let cool.
-
6.
Thread fruit onto 16 wooden skewers alternately and place the skewers side by side on a large sheet of parchment paper (about 50x40 cm).
-
7.
Drizzle liquid chocolate in thin strands over the skewers, turning them as you go.
-
8.
Sprinkle almonds around the skewers and allow to dry.
