Ingredients
- 80 g raisins
- 40 ml brandy
- 2 l dry red wine
- 100 g candied sugar
- 8 cloves
- 4 star anise
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 untreated orange
- 1 apple

Wash the raisins, drain and mix with brandy in a bowl. Pour the wine into a pot, add sugar, brandy‑raisin mixture and spices.

Wash the lemon and orange, pat dry, halve and slice thinly. Quarter the apple, core it and cut into fine slivers. Add the citrus and apple to the red wine in the pot, heat without boiling and simmer for 10–15 minutes. Then serve.
