Quick, easy and always delicious: Try the fruity fruit croissants from Spoonsparrow – perfect for take‑out too!

Ingredients

  • 400 g fruit dough (or croissant dough)
  • 2 tbsp liquid butter
  • 200 g mixed dried fruit (e.g., dates, apricots, cherries)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp whipping cream

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan‑forced.

  2. 2.

Spread the dough and cut it lengthwise into halves (about 18x12 cm). Brush with butter. Chop the dried fruit, mix with the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the dough. Roll each half into a long log and slice into about 5 cm thick pieces. Press the center of each piece with a wooden spoon so that the inner dough protrudes (Franzbrötchen shape). Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with cream, and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.

  3. 3.

Let the fruit croissants cool on a wire rack.
