Fruchtiger Turkey Roast

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg turkey upper leg
- 1 handful oregano
- 4 Garlic cloves
- Salt
- steak pepper
- 1 untreated lemon

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F) with top and bottom heat.

Wash the turkey upper leg and pat dry with kitchen paper. Wash the oregano and shake off excess moisture. Remove leaves from half of the oregano sprigs and chop them finely. Peel the garlic, finely mince it, and crush it lightly. Rub the turkey leg with the minced garlic, season with salt and pepper. Distribute the remaining oregano sprigs in a roasting pan and place the leg on top. Halve the lemon and squeeze juice over the meat. Place the squeezed lemon halves on top of the leg. Sprinkle chopped oregano over the leg and roast in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours.
