Fish Patties
Simple but always good: The fish patties from Spoonsparrow taste especially well with salad and yogurt sauce – give it a try.
Ingredients
- 50 g white bread
- 50 ml milk
- 0.5 bunch spring onions
- Lauch- and pike fillet (250 g each)
- 1 egg yolk
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 0.5 tsp Curry Powder
- 0.5 tsp ginger (finely chopped)
- 0.5 clove garlic (finely chopped)
- 0.5 tsp grated untreated lemon zest
- 1 splash Lemon juice
- white bread crumbs
- 4 tbsp oil

Cut the white bread into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Pour the milk over them and let the cubes soak covered. Clean, wash and slice the spring onions into fine rings.

Wash and pat dry the pike fillets. Cut the fillet pieces into as small cubes as possible and put them in a bowl. Add the egg yolk, the soaked bread cubes and the onion rings and mix loosely by hand. Add salt, pepper, curry powder, ginger, garlic, lemon zest and lemon juice to the fish mixture and fold together.

Shape the patty mixture with wet hands into small patties and coat them in white bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan and fry the patties over gentle heat for about 5–6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the fish patties and drain on kitchen paper.
