Fish Balls with Vegetables

Ingredients
- 700 g fish fillet
- 4 slices old white bread
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 bunch parsley (leaves, finely chopped)
- 200 ml milk
- Salt
- pepper freshly ground
- peanut oil (for frying)
- 1 small head of white cabbage
- 2 onions (small diced)
- 2 carrots
- 2 white beets
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 3 tbsp sprout oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf

Soak bread in lukewarm milk.

Crush onions, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper in a mortar until a smooth mixture forms.

Debone fish fillet, cut into small pieces and mix with the squeezed bread and onion seasoning to form a smooth dough; shape into small balls.

Fry the fish balls in hot oil until golden brown on all sides, then remove.

Clean cabbage, beets and carrots and cut into small pieces.

Sauté diced onions in hot oil until translucent, add vegetables and sauté briefly.

Whisk tomato paste with ½ cup water until smooth and add to vegetable sauce; season with thyme, salt and pepper, place fish balls in the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
