Fiery Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 750 ml milk
  • vanilla pods
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 1 small fresh chili pepper
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

    Bring the milk with vanilla seeds and the pod to a brief boil.

  2. 2.

    Heat 250 ml water (but do not boil) and melt the chopped chocolate in it. Stir the melted chocolate into the hot milk with a whisk.

    Wash, trim, slit lengthwise, deseed, and finely chop the chili pepper.

  4. 4.

    Stir the chili with salt into the chocolate‑milk mixture, sweeten to taste with honey, pour into mugs and serve immediately.
