Fennel Citrus Salad with Tuna

Ingredients

  • 4 bulbs fennel
  • 4 organic oranges
  • 2 zesty lemons
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tuna steak (approx. 500 g)
  • olive oil

Instructions

    Clean the fennel by removing all hard leaves and washing only the inner part, then dry and cut into cubes. Chop a bit of the green and set aside.

    Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, removing all white pith. Cut them into cubes and add to the fennel in a bowl. Peel the zesty lemons, leaving the white part of the skin, cut small and add to the orange and fennel cubes.

    Whisk olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper; taste and mix with the salad ingredients, let sit briefly.

    Brush the tuna steak with a little olive oil, season with salt and pepper, divide into portions and grill or sear in a hot skillet for about 2–3 minutes per side.

    Plate the salad, sprinkle fennel greens on top and serve with tuna pieces.
