Ingredients

  • 0.5 red bell pepper
  • 0.5 yellow bell pepper
  • 2 stale rolls
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 onions
  • 4 tbsp plant oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 700 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp mustard (medium sharp)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • ground pepper
  • plant oil (for the pan)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat. Wash and clean the bell peppers, then dice them finely. Soak the rolls in lukewarm water. Peel the eggs. Peel the onions, finely dice them, and sauté in 1 tbsp hot oil until translucent. Remove from heat and add the dried herbs.

  2. 2.

Mix the ground meat with the raw egg, mustard, peppers, parsley, and squeezed-out roll crumbs; season with salt and pepper, then fold in the onions. Fill a greased baking dish halfway with the meat mixture, shape it ovally, place the hard eggs in the center, cover with the remaining meat, and form into a Fake Hare loaf. Brush with the remaining oil and bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes.
