Exotic Fruit Platter
A seductive assortment of fruit served as a lush snack or light main course packed with vitamins.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 1 pink grapefruit
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- 150 g Yogurt (0.3% fat)
- 350 g small papaya (1 small papaya)
- 400 g honeydew melon (0.5 honeydew melons)
- 200 g kiwi (2 kiwis)
- 2 small oranges
- 400 g small pomegranate (1 small pomegranate)
Instructions
-
1.
Roast the poppy seeds in a dry pan for a few minutes, then remove and let cool.
-
2.
Crush them lightly in a mortar.
-
3.
Peel the grapefruit with a knife so that all white skin is removed. Slice into rounds and roughly chop.
-
4.
In a bowl mix the poppy seeds, maple syrup, and yogurt.
-
5.
Peel and core the papaya and melon, cutting into wedges or slices.
-
6.
Peel the kiwis and cut into wedges.
-
7.
Peel the oranges thickly to remove all white skin, then slice into rounds.
-
8.
Separate the pomegranate seeds from the shell. First cut a wedge-shaped piece at the base of the calyx, then gently break the fruit apart with light pressure; most seeds will fall out, removing the pale membranes. Arrange all fruit wedges and slices decoratively on a platter and sprinkle with pomegranate seeds. Add the yogurt on top.
