Ingredients

  • 1 Vanilla bean
  • 1 untreated orange
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 10 elderflower buds
  • 500 ml dry white wine
  • 600 g canning sugar

Instructions

    Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and cut into pieces. Rinse the orange and lemon with hot water, peel the zest, and squeeze out the juice.

    Combine both juices with the vanilla pieces, washed elderflower buds, wine, and sugar in a pot; bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Transfer to canning jars, seal tightly, and let steep for 2 days.

    Afterward strain the liquid and use as desired.
