Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls of dandelion flowers (not fully opened)
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 500 g sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.

Do not wash the dandelion flowers, just shake them out and discard any debris. Rinse the lemon hot and slice it. Combine with the flowers in a large jar.

  2. 2.

Slowly bring 1 l of water to a boil while stirring, add the sugar, and simmer for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3.

Let cool, then pour over the dandelion so everything is covered. Seal tightly and let steep for 2 days.

  4. 4.

Before bottling, strain through a cheesecloth and reheat with stirring. Pour into a prepared bottle and seal well.

  5. 5.

Dilute with cold water to taste before drinking (approx. 1:6 ratio of syrup to water).
