Crispy Fried Potatoes

Classic, simple yet always delicious: the crispy fried potatoes from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 12 potatoes
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt
  • seasoning mix
  • lemon pepper
  • dried or fresh thyme

Instructions

    Wash, peel and dry the potatoes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Squeeze the lemon. Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds with a mandoline.

    Melt butter in a non-stick pan over medium heat and sauté the onion cubes until translucent. Add the lemon zest and juice.

    Add the potato slices and season with salt, seasoning mix, lemon pepper, and thyme. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes. Serve the crispy fried potatoes alongside fish, meat or chicken.
