Cream Cheese Cake with Red Base

Ingredients
- 250 g butter
- 140 g powdered sugar
- 400 g double cream cream cheese
- cocoa powder (for dusting)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp white wine vinegar
- 250 ml buttermilk
- red food coloring
- 300 g flour
- 3 g salt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp cocoa powder

Preheat the oven to 160°C fan.

Beat butter, oil, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix vinegar and buttermilk, color with food dye to deep red. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and cocoa. Fold all three mixtures together into a smooth batter as quickly as possible.

Grease the springform pan and pour in the batter. Bake for about 45 minutes (test with a skewer). Cool, remove from pan and cut horizontally into three equal slices.

Beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Stir in cream cheese. Set aside one‑third of the frosting. Spread remaining frosting thickly on each cake slice and stack them. Trim edges with a little frosting, fill a piping bag with leftover frosting and dot on top. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving and dust with cocoa powder.
