Ingredients

  • 300 g starchy potatoes
  • Salt
  • 2 onions
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 60 ml hot milk
  • 20 g soft butter
  • nutmeg
  • butter (for greasing)
  • 50 g grated cheddar

Instructions

    Peel, wash and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 25 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Peel and finely dice the onions. Brown the minced beef with the onions in hot oil. Add tomato paste and season with salt and pepper.

    Drain the potatoes, let them steam dry, then mash. Stir in hot milk and butter, seasoning with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

    Grease four small ramekins (diameter 6-7 cm). Fill each with the beef mixture, top with mashed potatoes, and sprinkle cheddar on top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Remove and serve on a wooden board.
