Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp oil
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 4 tbsp tomato paste
- 200 ml coffee
- 250 g kidney beans (canned; drained weight)
- 200 g corn kernels (canned, drained weight)
- 300 g canned tomatoes
- 1 chili pepper
- 0.5 tsp chili powder
- 0.5 tsp cumin
- a pinch of brown sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 250 g sour cream
Instructions

Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions with garlic over medium heat until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until crumbly.

Wash bell peppers, halve them, remove stems and seeds, then dice. Add to the pan with tomato paste and fry for about 5 minutes. Deglaze with coffee.

Drain beans and corn. Roughly chop canned tomatoes. Wash, deseed, and finely chop chili pepper. Combine all into the beef mixture and stir.

Season with chili powder, cumin, brown sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently for about 30 minutes. Serve topped with sour cream.
