Classic Falafel

The Classic Falafel from Spoonsparrow are super easy to prepare and perfect for take‑out!
Ingredients
- 400 g Chickpeas (canned; drained weight)
- 0.5 Red Onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 20 g coriander leaves (1 bunch)
- 20 g Parsley (1 bunch)
- 1 small chili pepper
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp Ground cumin
- 100 g chickpea flour
- Salt
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions

Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Peel and roughly chop the onion and garlic. Wash, dry shake, and pluck the coriander and parsley leaves. Slice the chili pepper lengthwise, remove seeds, and wash it. Squeeze the lemon juice.

Blend everything together with ground cumin and chickpea flour, seasoning with salt.

Shape 16–20 balls from the mixture. Heat olive oil in a large pan and fry the falafel over medium heat for about 10 minutes on all sides until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, arrange on a plate, and serve.
