Ingredients

  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 400 g crushed tomatoes
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 4 tbsp alcohol‑free red wine
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Medium Hot Mustard
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 8 cannelloni tubes
  • 75 g finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • fresh herbs for serving
  • 40 g salad greens
  • 50 g cherry tomatoes

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C (180 °C fan‑forced; gas: level 3). Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Mix half of the garlic into the crushed tomatoes. Stir in salt, pepper, and wine, then set aside.

    If needed, lightly oil a baking dish. Combine the minced beef with the remaining onion, garlic, egg, mustard, and thyme; season well with salt and pepper. Fill the cannelloni tubes with this mixture and arrange them side by side in the dish. Spread the tomato sauce over the filled tubes and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake the cannelloni for about 40 minutes. Wash and dry the salad greens and herbs. Rinse, pat dry, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Plate the baked cannelloni alongside the salad, herbs, and tomatoes and serve immediately.
