Chutney with Various Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 8 tomatoes
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 sour apples
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 3 onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cardamom
  • 80 ml white wine vinegar
  • 60 g sugar
  • 0.25 tsp Salt

Instructions

    Briefly blanch the tomatoes, cool, peel, core and dice. Wash, trim and cut the bell peppers into small pieces. Peel the apples, remove cores and cube them. Wash the chili pepper, halve it, remove seeds and slice into very thin strips. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic.

    Add tomatoes, bell peppers, apples, chili, onions and garlic to a large pot. Add paprika powder, cardamom, vinegar, sugar and salt; mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Fill the chutney into prepared jars. Seal tightly and let cool.
