Ingredients
- 60 ml milk
- 30 g Butter
- a pinch of salt
- 60 g flour
- 2 Eggs
- oil for frying
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
-
1.
Boil the milk with 60 ml water, butter and a pinch of salt. Add all the flour at once and stir with a cooking spoon. Heat for about 3–4 minutes while stirring until the dough separates from the bottom as a lump. Transfer the dough to a bowl and gradually fold in the eggs using the kneading hooks of an electric hand mixer until a smooth dough forms. Let the dough cool slightly, then fill a piping bag with a medium star tip.

2.
Heat oil in a tall pot (or deep fryer) to about 170°C. (The oil is hot enough when small bubbles rise on the stick of a wooden spoon placed in it.) Pipe the dough into 5 cm long pieces (cut with an oil‑dipped scissors) and fry for 4–5 minutes until golden brown, turning once. Remove the churros with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
