Ingredients

  • soft butter (for the cups)
  • 12 beautiful strawberries
  • 200 g dark chocolate couverture
  • 150 g butter
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml sour cream
  • 50 g Brown sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tbsp whole milk chocolate shavings
  • 3 tbsp white chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Grease a muffin tin with 12 cavities well.

  2. 2.

Rinse the strawberries, pat dry and remove the stems. Roughly chop the chocolate. Melt the butter slowly over low heat in a saucepan. Add the chocolate and let it melt. Stir into a homogeneous mixture and remove from heat. Whisk together the milk, egg, sour cream, and sugar with an electric mixer. In a bowl mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cocoa, and salt well. Add the milk mixture and chocolate butter and quickly stir to a smooth batter. Fill the cups with batter and press one strawberry into each center, then smooth the top of the batter over it. Bake on the middle rack for about 25 minutes (test with a skewer).

  3. 3.

Remove from oven, cool, take muffins out of tin and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

  4. 4.

Mix whole milk and white chocolate shavings. Sprinkle the muffins with the chocolate shavings and serve.
