Chocolate Glass Cake

The Chocolate Glass Cake from Spoonsparrow is a great birthday gift and perfect for buffets!

Ingredients

  • 310 g soft butter
  • 80 g whole cane sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g spelt whole‑grain flour
  • 100 g fine rolled oats
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 120 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 100 g dark chocolate

Instructions

    Grease the glasses with 10 g butter.

    Beat the remaining butter with the cane sugar and extracted vanilla bean until creamy. Gradually fold in the eggs. Mix the flour, oats and baking powder together and alternate adding them with the milk into the egg mixture until a smooth batter forms. Chop the chocolate and stir it in. Pour the batter into the glasses and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas level 3) for about 35 minutes, checking with a skewer test.
