Creamy Cottage Cheese with Figs

Ingredients
- 300 g organic orange (2 organic oranges)
- 0.5 tsp cornstarch
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 80 g dried dates (8 dried dates)
- 200 g low‑fat cottage cheese preparation (0.2% fat)
- 200 g yogurt (1.5% fat)
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey
- 20 g pistachio kernels (2 tsp)
- 2 fresh figs
Instructions

Rinse oranges hot, dry and grate 1–2 tbsp of zest finely. Halve the oranges and squeeze out the juice.

Whisk 3 tbsp orange juice with cornstarch. Add remaining orange juice to a pot with cinnamon stick and cloves, pour in the whisked mixture and bring to a boil once. Remove from heat and let stand.

Meanwhile halve dates, pit them, dice finely and place in a bowl.

Remove cinnamon stick and cloves from the thickened orange juice. Pour hot sauce over the dates and allow to cool.

Whisk cottage cheese and yogurt with orange zest, cinnamon and honey until creamy. Roughly chop pistachio kernels.

Wash figs, pat dry and quarter them. Arrange the orange‑date sauce with yogurt and figs on a plate, sprinkle with chopped pistachios and serve.
