Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 100 g softened butter
  • 50 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 170 g spelt flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 150 g dark chocolate chips

Instructions

    Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Gradually add the egg and vanilla sugar, mixing well.

    Sift together the spelt flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder, then fold into the wet mixture gently.

    Fold in the chocolate chips. Using a teaspoon, drop dough balls onto the sheet, spacing them about 5 cm apart. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan; gas range 2–3) for 10‑12 minutes.

    Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
