Chocolate Chip Muffins

Spoonsparrow muffins are moist, easy to make and taste great beyond birthdays.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 75 ml plant oil
  • 100 g Sour cream
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 150 g colorful chocolate chips (for garnish)

Instructions

    In a bowl whisk the egg, oil and sour cream together. In another bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, then gently fold into the wet mixture.

    Line a muffin tin with paper liners, fill each cup with batter, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) on the middle rack for about 20 minutes. Remove and let cool.

    Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth, then brush over the cooled muffins. Place a few chocolate chips on each glazed muffin and allow to dry completely.
