Chocolate Banana Pancakes
Chocolate banana pancakes provide the body with especially high-quality protein – good for growth – and filling fiber.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 100 g low-fat quark
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Honey
- 60 g rolled oats
- 20 g ground almonds (2 tbsp)
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 100 g small bananas (1 small banana)
- 2 tsp Rapeseed Oil
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
Instructions
-
1.
Whisk the egg, quark, 1 tsp salt and honey together until creamy.
-
2.
Stir in the rolled oats, almonds and cocoa powder and let everything soak for about 5 minutes.
-
3.
Meanwhile peel the banana, cut it lengthwise into quarters and then into small pieces.
-
4.
Fold the banana pieces into the oat-quark mixture and shape eight small pancakes with damp hands; set aside a few banana pieces for garnish if desired.
-
5.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a non-stick pan and fry half of the pancakes over medium heat, turning each side about 2-3 minutes until crisp brown.
-
6.
Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels and keep warm on a plate.
-
7.
Fry the remaining pancakes in the leftover oil in the same way. Sift powdered sugar into a tea strainer, dust the chocolate banana pancakes with it, garnish with banana pieces if desired, and serve immediately.
