Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 200 g ground meat
- 1 egg yolk
- Salt
- Pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 tsp turmeric
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 200 g chickpeas (canned or jarred)
- 100 g Red lentils
- 50 g rice
- 0.5 bunch Parsley
- 2 tbsp chives
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
- 400 g yogurt
- 6 tbsp sour cream
- mint for garnish

Peel and finely chop the onions. Mix ground meat with half of the onions and egg yolk, season with salt and pepper, and form into balls. Heat oil in a pot and brown the remaining onions until golden. Add turmeric and minced garlic, cook briefly, then pour in 1 l water. Add drained chickpeas, lentils, and rice; bring to a boil and simmer gently for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile wash and dry parsley, finely chop leaves along with other herbs, add meatballs and yogurt to the soup. Simmer another 10 minutes. Finally season with salt and pepper, serve garnished with dollops of sour cream and mint.
