Chicken with Tomato Sauce

Simply but good! In the Chicken with Tomato Sauce by Spoonsparrow tender meat meets fruity sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-cooked chicken (ca. 1.4 kg)
- Salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 vegetable onion
- 2 tsp grated orange zest
- juice of one orange
- 1 can tomatoes (800 g)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 Cloves
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- sage
- rosemary
Instructions

Cut the chicken into 8 pieces, rub with salt and pepper, and brown all over in hot olive oil.

Peel and dice the onion. Rinse the orange under hot water. Mix the tomatoes with their juice, orange juice, and zest; season with salt and pepper and briefly puree once.

Place the chicken parts in a braising pot, add onion, tomato mixture, cinnamon stick, cloves, and peppercorns. Seal the pot and bake at 200°C for about 1 hour.

Remove the chicken with tomato sauce from the oven, taste again, and serve sprinkled with sage and rosemary.
