Ingredients

  • 16 Chicken Wings (Hähnchenflügel)
  • 1 EL lemon juice
  • 3 EL oil
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 TL thyme
  • 800 g Potatoes (peeled and cut into thick sticks)
  • oil (for frying)
  • Salt

Instructions

    Mix lemon juice, oil, pressed garlic cloves, salt, pepper and thyme; marinate the chicken wings for 20 minutes. Remove, drain, and grill on a hot grill while turning constantly for about 10 minutes, brushing occasionally with the remaining marinade.

    In a deep fryer fry the potatoes until they are pale yellow; remove, drain and let cool.

    Just before serving, return the potatoes to the fryer and finish frying; remove, drain and season with salt.

    This method makes the potatoes crispy on the outside while keeping them tender inside.

    Serve the chicken wings with French fries and ketchup.
