Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 2 onions
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp freshly chopped ginger
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 0.5 tsp ground chili flakes
  • 0.5 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp garam masala
  • 400 ml Chicken broth
  • Salt
  • ground pepper
  • 100 ml unsweetened coconut milk (canned)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

    Wash the chicken, pat dry, remove skin and cut into bite‑size pieces.

    Peel onions and garlic and finely dice them.

  3. 3.

    Heat ghee in a pot, sauté onions for about 3 minutes while stirring. Add chicken, garlic, ginger, sprinkle with ground spices and garam masala, brown briefly. Pour in chicken broth, season with salt and pepper, simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes; add more broth if needed.

    Add coconut milk, simmer for another 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

    Wash spring onions, drain, slice the white part into rings, sprinkle over the curry and serve.
