Chicken Bulgur Balls Kicker
Ready for the kickoff? These spicy chicken bulgur balls are perfect for snacking.
Ingredients
- 160 g fine bulgur
- 300 ml classic vegetable broth
- 100 g Onions (2 onions)
- 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
- 15 g mild ajvar (2 tsp)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
- 300 g chicken mince

Place the bulgur in a large bowl. Bring the broth to a boil, pour it over the bulgur, cover and let soak for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onions.

Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent.

Add them to the bulgur. Season with ajvar, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and allow to cool slightly.

In a second bowl, whisk the eggs with the paprika powder.

Add the chicken mince to the bulgur mixture and knead thoroughly with a hand mixer’s dough hooks.

Line a baking tray with parchment paper. With damp hands, form small balls from the mixture and place them on the tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan‑forced, gas: level 2–3) on the middle rack for about 10 minutes. Then turn on the grill and broil for another 5–7 minutes.
