- 125 g cherries (canned, pitted)
- 40 ml cherry brandy
- 400 g cherry cream ice cream
- 400 g Vanilla Ice Cream
- 30 g poppy seed paste (sweetened and ground)

- lemon balm leaf

Marinate cherries for about 1 hour with the cherry brandy. Cut the cherry ice cream into large pieces, then blend with an electric hand mixer until creamy. Spread the mixture evenly in a cake pan to a uniform thickness and freeze for at least 1 hour. Then whisk half of the vanilla ice cream until creamy, fold in drained cherries, layer over the cherry ice cream, and freeze again for 1 hour.

Finally, whisk remaining vanilla ice cream with the poppy seed paste until creamy and fill the center with this mixture.

Cover and place in the freezer until serving time. Just before serving, briefly warm in water, then pour out. Garnish with whipped cream swirls, lemon balm leaves, and cherries.
