Ingredients

  • 500 g cherries
  • 10 plum fruits
  • 500 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 3 tbsp semolina flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • butter (for the pan)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  2. 2.

Wash and pit the cherries. Halve and core the plums.

  3. 3.

Heat the milk in a saucepan, bring it to a boil, then add the semolina while stirring. Bring to a quick boil again, remove from heat, and let it thicken for about 20 minutes.

  4. 4.

Separately, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Whip the cream to stiff peaks as well.

  5. 5.

Whisk the yolks with sugar until creamy, then fold into the cooled semolina mixture.

  6. 6.

Fold in the beaten egg whites and whipped cream.

  7. 7.

Spread the batter evenly in a large greased pan or four small casserole dishes.

  8. 8.

Arrange the plums and cherries on top of the batter.

  9. 9.

Bake for about 30 minutes. If needed, cover with foil to prevent browning.

  10. 10.

Remove from oven, let it cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or cold.
